In the DJ business, there are many lighting options to consider adding to your packages. There are numerous lights to consider, such as: dance floor lighting, disco balls, moving heads, uplighting, lasers, spot lights, monogram lighting, water and effect lighting, etc. I can go on and on with the numerous types of lighting that is available for DJs. Overall, how much lighting you offer is totally up to you, but having lighting for events is definitely a must! One type of lighting you may have not considered is black lighting. More and more, we’re seeing black light parties happening for bar and club events, college parties and other events. We’re also seeing a rise in popularity with black lighting and glow parties happening with school events, quinceaneras and sweet 15s/16s.
You can certainly add black lighting to your packages and create a new “black light party package.” Simply add neon balloons, glow sticks, necklaces, glasses or anything else that looks great with black lighting. Sure, most weddings will not want to add black lighting, but many of the quinceaneras and teen events absolutely love the idea! Now, you may be asking, how many lights do I need, or how much is it going to cost me? The number of lights depends on how large the venue is. For smaller venues, we use about 4 lights. Simply add more lights around the room for larger venues. The lights come in different sizes and the prices can vary, depending on the length of the bulbs and the maker, of course.
